She has a speedometer reminding her to observe the speed limit.

Too cute, reminds me of my six-yr-old...I have seen her hit in excess of 140+ rpms on her little princess pinkie. Maybe....just maybe...

Thats cool -- nice little bike, too. Very cool for parents to support that stuff, too.

Hi,

Was this at the ADT Event Center? I think that I see her on Thursday nights when I train there.

Hi,

Was this at the ADT Event Center? I think that I see her on Thursday nights when I train there.

"Madison is 9 (10 in 2007) and loves to ride her bike. She especially enjoys riding at the ADT velodrome in Carson, Ca, because it means "dad time" for her--about 90 minutes on the way out, riding and training with me, and then 90 minutes on the way back!

"The cool thing is that she gets to hang out with some amazing women at ADT. Connie Young runs the AAF classes at the track, and emphasizes the importance of sportsmanship and hard work. Helping her coach the kids are some amazing young women, who I'm proud to have my daughter looking up to as role models. The classes there are also mostly made up of young girls, so she never feels like she's being left out.

"Of course, ADT (the premiere track in the US) is the training home for some of the best riders in the America. Madison gets to ride alongside the likes of world champion Sarah Hammer, and national champions Becky Quinn, Jennie Reed, and Liz Carlson, who all treat her wonderfully and always have positive, encouraging remarks for her.

"No matter how far she goes in the sport, or how accomplished she may become, I know that her time at the track is always positive, and I can't thank the many riders we've encountered there enough for being so supportive of her riding. When I was starting out as a junior, elite riders didn't give you the time of day, but it's great to see that things have changed, and that so many people are willing to spare the time to talk to her and cheer her on in her racing and training.

"Our experiences at ADT have truly been what sport should be about!"

Yeah, it's cute until she high sides you in the last corner of a match sprint.

Any connection between her track riding Dad and her name, Madison ?? One of the wrench's here in town just named his new born son Cadence. That might be a little much - but Madison is cool. :)

Madison is better than Axel.

Hey! Show respect for the son of G-d! :D

I met a guy once that knew nothing of cycling but named his Chocolate Lab Axel. Belgium for strong oak, I believe. It was about 6 months after my wife shot down the idea for the name for our dog. She went with the very original "Max".
