Has anyone used a 10speed Connex Link with a Dura Ace chain? How did it go?

Th connex link will work great with a shimano 10 chain, but you must get the correct model. The Campy version of the link is required for this chain. The shimano version is too narrow and provides insufficient side clearance. The resaon for this is simple. The connex links are made to fit wipperman chains, which do not have identical dimensions to shimano chains. Shimano 10 chain is only about .001 inch narrower acrosss the inner plates than the campy version of the wipperman 10 chain. It's better to have slightly more side clearance than too little.

Does this extra clearance create any noise issues or is it really too small of a difference to notice?

on all of my bikes and on both 9 & 10 speed chains and have never had a problem. They make removing the chain for maintenance dead easy and there are no clearance issues. As Dave said, make sure you get the right size.

One link with an an additional .001 inch clearance? Measure the clearance on a well worn chain. It will have increased from the original .004-.005 inch to .012-.013. My old chains don't seem to get noisy as they wear.

I had heard that using the links on other chains might cause noise issues.
