Pace makes a very thin white arm warmer that is fairly cool.

The Rivendell wool arm warmers are so thin that my finger poked a hole thru one warmer while pulling it on. Frankly, I found them useless because they provide so little change in temperature from just bare arms.

Assos Arm Protectors (http://www.assos.com/en/accessories/detail.aspx?article=78&color=) ... block UV and transport moisture to keep you cool and dry. Good Luck.

The colored Voler arm warmers are fairly light.

The black ones are thicker.

I don't own them but I've looked at them and they are light weight. I saw only white if that's a problem.

Take some long socks that have the right amount of thickness for u. Cut of the feet. voila!

You could always cut the feet off a pair of your wife's panty hose and slip those on. Just use singles or remember to cut the legs off....I found that out the hard way....did I just say that out loud???

Another good idea. Start using Rogaine on your forearms.

Yeah.... I use those Defeet AW here in So. Florida "winters". They are the best, thin warmers I've tried. I just wish they made them in dark colors!

I've been using these for a couple weeks as of late (100F) and they work! If I forget to put sunscreen on under my gloves I can see after a ride that I got sun on my hands but my arms remained pale.

Thanks for the info. I just ordered a pair. Sunscreen just doesn't work on 6+ hour rides, and although I tan really easily, I don't want my skin to end up like my father's is now from all his years of no sunscreen.

I probably wouldn't have been so easily persuaded had I not seen David Millar using them in the heat this year @ TdF (first I had heard of such a thing)

I'm looking forward to trying them.....

DeSoto has some white "Arm Coolers" that are thin and made out of a material that's sort of like Coolmax. I've used them in the AZ sun and was surprised at how well they worked to block the sun and still keep my arms cool.
