prolouge predictions/predilictions?

a dead flat 6.1k prolouge time trial on saturday kicks off the tour in liege. i'm going out on a limb and laying down cash on tom boonen. other picks for the top five: brad mc gee, david millar...oops-,lance armstrong, tyler hamilton, jan ullrich. mayo gets smoked.

brad mc gee will, i bet, bust his butt to win. he was strong coming out of the giro. a few days in yellow for a french team? sounds like contract extension to me.

i'm curious to see if mc gee has the gas to finish the tour in a strong fashion after his tremendous giro. somehow i suspect that he will not fly so well, although i would love for it to be otherwise. i expect that next year he will focus more on the tdf, unless fdejeux feels the need to race him in the giro due to new pro tour regs.

as with so many racers, brad lost kilo's and climbed better in giro. giro/tour double is tough. his tank may well be on fumes by week three, but i agree, would be nice to see him in yellow for awhile.
