Anyone ever play with big tires on their OCLV?

What's the biggest you found could fit? Tufo Diamond File 28 Cross tires rub to the point that they do not turn.

Interested in Tubular or Clincher.

I'm runnung the old Icon fork.

Thanks in advance.

It's been a couple years, but my 5900 SL would only take certain brands of 700x23 tires. Anything with even a hint of tread anywhere on the casing would rub.

I have PR2s in 25mm size on one set of wheels for my MY2001 5900 (straight fork, with different size hs bearings top & bottom). Any road grit picked up on the front tire sidewalls (typically from wet pavement) will be scraped off by my computer wire zip tie. Larger pieces of grit on the tread will likewise be cleared by the bottom of the fork.

Of course Michelins reputedly run larger than their nominal sizes, so some other manufacturer's 27mm tires may well work. On the other hand, tires tend to "grow" just a bit as they age, so you may want to err on the side of caution/clearance.
