NYT Cheating in sport article...

In the Sunday times...not very long, not very insightful...but thankfully didn't get hung up on cycling alone. It did have a funny quote from Coppi. When asked about taking amphetamines during the Tour in the late '40's:

"Only when neccessary.."

"How often is that?"

"Most of the time..."

That's a great quote. Funny how amphetamines just seem so quaint anymore.

Our local paper had an "ethics in sport" article last week. I was surprised to see Rasmussen included among the likes of Bonds-Vick-Donaghy. Maybe our beloved sport really has arrived!
