In order to combat doping in cycling,
the 2008 course will be shortened to 5 stages:
The stages are:
1. Denial*: The initial stage: "It can't be happening!"
2. Anger*: "Why cycling, It's not fair?!"
3. Bargaining *: "Just let them do whatever they want."
4. Depression*: "I'm so sad, why bother watching?"
5. Acceptance*: "It's going to be OK, this time they're clean"
See you next year!!!

Nice.
That's like last night when Al said they were waiting on Paul's out of competition results before giving him his last Yellow Jersey.

I certainly hope that one of these stages will be massive. At the individual rider level, Stage 1 (Denial) is even larger than that.

From: The Economist (http://www.economist.com/world/europe/displaystory.cfm?story_id=9554810) - "as other sports followed up on promises to get rid of drug cheats, professional road cycling has lagged behind" - well, I don't agree.
