I am switching from an alloy seatpost to a carbon one after many years, any advice on how to prep the frame after having had grease and such where a clean carbon post will go?

If you want to remove the grease, some alchohol on a reg will do fine.depending on the material the seatpost woll contact, you may want grease there.
What material is the carbon going into?

The new post would be going into a Serotta Legend Ti

I don't know if Serotta uses an insert in their ti frames or not.I do know that Litespeed used an al insert in the 2 ti frames I had from them.If it has an aluminum insert, then you do want to use grease to prevent galvanic corrosion.
If no one here chimes in,ask Serotta.

I have been told that you should still lightly grease the seatpost regardless of the material. :)
