Hello, im trying to track down a shop that has med jockey cages in alum for a chorus r.der. i've tried branford, oschner, and many others, nobody has them except one shop that wanted to charge me almost as much as a entire der.
let me know who you think might be able to at least order. i called campy and asked them why i can't find any, all they said is no problem call any bike shop. done it. crap advice.

thanks!

i'm willing to bet Euro-Asia has them. you're likely looking at close to $100.

Not to creat a flame war with Campy versus Shimano...

BUT...LOL...I'm so glad to see that Campy gear is rebuildable.

Just sayin'

I wonder if ShimaNO can be recycled! Or better yet, thrown in the sheetcan!

$.50 says that you can buy a new da derailleur for the price of that cage.

I'll up that to $1.00 as I just bought a brand new in the box Dura Ace 10 speed der for about $90.00 on ebay...

I am sure if it ever wears out, I will throw it away and get a new one.

Just sayin'

Steve

PS: By the time it wears out I am sure they will have some new 12-14 speed electronic shifting der available then (for $100.00).

Try www.loosescrew.com or something like that. I've used Loosescrew before for hard to find Campy parts.

edit: sorry, it's not Loosescrew any longer, it's

http://www.thethirdhand.com/

QBP parts supplier shows the chorus cage as discontinued,
not sure what that means in terms of getting one.

You could use a centaur cage, i'm pretty sure, there doesn't
appear to be any difference with Chorus.

QBP part # DP9883 should cost about $60
they show the item instock, any shop can order it

Manufacturer Part Number: RD-CE002M
if you wanna look it up in the campy manual

For a company that claims that there products are rebuildable, it sure seems funny that you cannot buy the parts needed to rebuild the products...

And, if you could find them, its almost cheaper to buy the product new...

Have you ever seen the price of 1 (one) Campy Torx 30 chainring bolt? You could feed a family of five (okay, at Taco Bell, but still)...

If you spent the same money on FSA chainring bolts, you'd get the entire set.

Just sayin'

Is DP9883 the Centaur part? I've bought new Centaur rear derailleurs off eBay for around $60, so maybe that is the way to go. Seems like the medium and long cage versions are a harder sell than the short, which is good for your eBay bargain hunter.
