I switched out the Lew wheels(had too) on my Cervelo with a new set of Lightweight Obermeyers. As of today, I can say that the LW's are truely the best of the best. They completely changed the way the Cervelo rode and man I dig the new ride. I'm still blown away at how much influence a set of wheels have on the overall ride of the total bike. Also, the FSA K Force ceramic bearing crank set is a 10 plus. While pedaling it feels like there's no resistance at all while pedaling.

jack, changed the ride how? from what to what? this is your SLC-SL, yes? LWs certainly seem to be the bee's knees.

How about a TBP ride report (evaluation)?

Nice. What made you change from the Lews? Post a pic of your baby, if you get a chance.

But...I don't want 10 plus, I want one that goes to 11.

No comment on the Lew's. I have returned them to the Jerk.

Birddog,
I was unable to go do to work schedule and other family things. I was really bummed that I was unable to attend.

Goes to show weight isn't everything (unless on a long steep climb maybe).

Interesting to see that T Mobile have ditched the sponsored DA wheels (that are neither particularly light nor aero) and use LWs for climbs (light and stiff) and Zipps (a mechanic said they are the most aero on offer) for the flats. Kim Kirchen was even using the 404/808 combo yesterday.

I don't think the mechanic was conducting his own wind tunnel tests, no. He was reflecting the view of the team as to why they chose the wheels for flat stages. Their wheel choices make perfect sense to me.

From what I understand, Shimano did not support T-Mobile for wheels this season, which gave them the freedom to test and use the wheels they saw fit.
