Wow... You knew it would come sooner or later. Maybe the ASO should take a year off. Won't be long until I'm back trying to get my cycling updates from foriegn newspapers (at least I have cyclingnews.com now), 'cause there ain't going to be much on TV here in the future. Too bad, but I'm not surprised, which is unfortunate too.

Isn't that around the same period as the Actovegan (I think that's the stuff) news out of Postal? That was the story about the team car dumping bags of stuff in the garbage.

First has his Vuelta title stolen by Robert "EPO" Heras and then is mocked as team leader by Michael "You can believe me" Rasmussen.

So as long as his hemo level stays within limits at the tour, and other times hes just not around to be tested...and hes leading the race. I loved hearing Phil say he was sure it was a clean race this year. LA LA land... We all want a level playing field but lets be honest, he knows the sport well enough to know better. :butt:

Anyone know why Rasmussen wont shake Hinault's hand on the podium?

I don't know what to think any more.
I'm tired of doping.
I'm tired of doping stories.
I'm tired of the lack of due process, of innuendo, back-tracking, rushes to judgment, obfuscation, complete non-professionalism....

That story does read a little like Lewinsky's dress.

Same old same old...

Hamlet: ‘By heaven, I’ll make a ghost of him that lets me!– I say, away!–Go on; I’ll follow thee.’ [Exit Ghost and Hamlet.]

Horatio: ‘He waxes desperate with imagination.’

Marcellus: ‘Let’s follow; ’tis not fit thus to obey him.’

Horatio: ‘Have after.–To what issue will this come?’

Marcellus: ‘Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.’

Horatio: ‘Heaven will direct it.’

(Shakespeare, Hamlet (I, iv))

 Apparently we have given him the wrong nickname! It should be the Cow, not the Chicken.

I wondered the same thing the other day.

Don't say I didn't say so... (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showpost.php?p=365233&postcount=47) Just wait for more!

But hey, it is the Danish Federation that has started the fire here!

Come on, the shoe box story is from 5 years ago! Everybody was doping then. The UCI won't take any action about this and it will all be forgotten - unless Rasmussen fails a dope test. But he's a clever guy - no way will he do something that stupid.
