Well, my Joe Young wheels are due Tuesday and the Campagnolo 11-25 cassette came yesterday. I had already picked up a Park BBT-5 tool for the cassette lock ring. Checking out the parts yesterday, I found the Park tool does not fit the Campagnolo lock ring. The teeth line up and certainly look like a match but I can't get the tool to insert. It appears either the tool or lock ring have too much metal on them. The Park tool can fit in the back of the ring so the teeth do mesh. Has anyone seen this before? I'm going back to the LBS today to see if they have another tool but it seems odd that either company would build this part out of spec.

Should work just fine.

This is the dumb thing about campy - the lockring for casettes starting with 11 or lower use one type of tool, 12 or higher takes another size, and the lockring tool is different as well! :crap:

Then what is the correct tool? Park and Campagnolo only show one.

...with either an 11 or a 12.

samcat is right...sorry about that. I know they take different lock ring sizes, but for some reason I had a momentary lapse of thought and stated that they took different size tools. :bike:

Turns out Park Tools made a bad part. I took it back to the shop and they opened another BBT-5 and that worked fine.

Never had a problem with it or the various Campy lockrings. Easy to use.
