and how does one become a Senior member ?

It is simply based on the number of messages that you post. However, I don't know the numbers for each.

I did a little searching and found out this is the break down for the "status"...
Junior Member (Minimum Posts: 0)
Member (Minimum Posts: 30)
Senior Member (Minimum Posts: 100)
This may be configurable by the person that set up this forum, but I don't know for sure.

This seems to be the same software the mmba uses. Of course, the fun part is that just because you think you have X number of posts, the forum doesn't necessarily count them all. I don't know why, but you might be a Jr. member for a while.
