I am thinking of trying the Sram Force kit vs Record kit. Is there any opinions and I am sure there is....but I would like experienced input please.

Force cheaper by about 500...but I have never used it.

On what you like. Easy choice for me as my 3 road bikes are Campy. I wouldn't want to have to stock spares from two different grouppo's.

If I had to choose today I would still go with Chorus. I know it's reliable, the ergo levers are rebuildable, and it works well for me.

Agreed. I also prefer the look of chorus/record to the sram stuff. The Sram has too much of that chunky shimano look for my taste... if that makes sense to anyone other than me.

Smiley has the SRAM and it looked VERY nice. I like the look of the new CAMPY.

But in a moment of truth (for me between red) the Ultgra/Dura Ace shifting is second to none.

Go with Chorus instead of Record - $400 less and still better than anything else out there.

but variety is the spice of life. I have a mix of Campy and Shimano.
