So I tore into my 9 speed Ergo lever for a rebuild. The post was broken off on the alloy G-spring carrier which I understand was a common problem. Branford Bike seems to offer both a reinforced carbon G-spring carrier (EC-RE065) and a reinforced alloy G-spring carrier (EC-RE111). I'm guessing that the carbon one is for Record and the alloy for Chorus. Would the carbon one fit in my Chorus levers? Which one is more durable? That's my main concern. Thanks.
