Ride report- I love my Fierte

So I took the long way (well, one of the long ways) home today after work and the ride reminded me of just how much I love riding my steel Fierte. Granted, this wasn't a hammerfest, as I was just cruising and hauling my bag full o' stuff home, but it was a fun ride. I had a bit of a headwind, but it felt really good to get into it. My new wheels (self built) are very smoothe, both in climbing and in sprinting through some traffic on one crazy bit of the ride.

It was a great ride and I was grinning the whole time. It made me think to myself "this is why I love bikes." :)

Fierte's jusr do not resemble an "entry" level bike for a manufacture.
Rather just the opposite.

If I was not familiar with the Serotta line up, I would think it is at
Serotta's top end.

I'm going to look at that fixie this morning. I'll let eveyone know if I get it or if I decide to build one up on my own. I think I might get into trouble if I get another bike for myself before building up a commuter for my wife... :crap:
