Oval Concepts Stem [Archive] - The Paceline Forum

I have a new, silver Oval Concepts stem that, unlike my black ones, does NOT have the length, hb size, steerer tube size and rise imprinted on the part of the stem that interfaces with the hbs. There is also some flaking of the silver finish/plating on the inside of the steerer tube clamping area. Anyone with a silver Oval Concepts stem have any of these issues? Thanks.

I don't own one, but seriously considered getting one until I was able to purchase a Serotta Ti 1" stem from Vaxn8r. At least one person, whom I know locally, has one and he has related no problems with it. It's installed on a Quintana Roo TT bike. He is using the Oval Concepts TT bars and brakes to match.
