i had a great trip to myrtle beach with my s and s equipped uniscasi.
even though i needed to turn my crankset/rear derailluer 90 degrees
from the posted instructions on the sandsmachine.com site,
the entire system worked well. i packed the front rack
in the paper clip method and found the mesh straps a life saver.
i wasn't able to find a way to fit the rear rack in, though
and wonder if any of you with the same system
have done the double rack pack challenge successfully!

For me the answer was to NOT fit the racks in the case. I normally travel with my S&S soft case and a wheeled duffel bag. The duffel was made for fly fishing and has a zippered lower compartment for waders and fly rod cases. I pack the fork, saddle/seatpost, and any racks or panniers in that lower compartment. Makes it really easy to load the frame and wheels into the S&S case and the paint is less likely to get scratched. And while I'm riding, the soft S&S case folds up to fit in the duffel.

After trying everything else, I just decided that it is easier to carry two lighter, easy-to-pack bags than it was to cram everything into one heavy bag.

a friend of mine also carries his rack in a separate bag. I use a hard case and sometimes I feel it is like putting twelve pounds of potatoes in a ten pound bag :p

I have the process down pretty well now - BUT there is no extra room in there.

SPOKES was in Myrtle Beach last weekend....
