Whatever happens, whether Basso is ultimately found to be guilty or not, I pray that the authorities will conduct themselves a whole lot better than they have throughout the whole Landis mess. If they do this by the book, without damaging and illegal leaks, and adhere to their own rules and procedures, it will do a lot towards restoring confidence in the process.

What we don't need is another vigilante witchhunt without regard to due process and the athlete's rights..

Sorry to play devil's advocate, but maybe we might hope that the athletes conduct themselves better and don't come out with a shopping bag of excuses, scripted media releases, fund raising websites and the like. All sides should clean up their act and not just the 'authorities'.
