TIME Millenium Stiff+ Carbon Fork in almost-new condition. Uncut 307mm all-carbon steerer, 1" diameter. 43mm rake, for 700c rim brake. Weighs about 410g. No lawyer tabs, doesn't appear they were ever included.

This is a super rare fork. Very stiff, highest quality, handmade in France. The steerer is reinforced with an internal carbon "+" design, which makes this one of the strongest and most reliable 1 inch carbon forks available. The Time reinforced steerer design requires a special expanding spacer/collar to adjust headset preload. The special collar is included with the fork.

This fork fits wider road tires, at least up to 28mm. I've added a photo to show the clearance around a Continental GP4000 28mm tire.

Some Time forks have a molded crown race for a specific frame and headset, this one does NOT. You can install your preferred headset with standard 26.4 crown race.

This fork was briefly installed on a demo bike. A couple small scratches on one fork leg, light clamp marks on the dropouts, see photos for details.

$325 shipped

This is a seriously nice fork. There was a time when I searched high and low for one of these to throw on a Merckx titanium frame. This would be great for an older steel bike racehorse.

This is some grail stuff. Awesome.

How does the headset preload work? Since you can't install a compression plug? Serious question.

I know USE made a Ringo Star preload spacer thing but it has been years and 1" would be even more specific.

Oops, answered my own question. Looks like a collar is included if you click the Flickr link:

I'm glad you asked though, because I was wondering the same thing.

How does that thing work?

How does that thing work?

It is an expanding spacer. With the spacer screwed tight and "closed", you hand-squish the stem and this spacer down on the steerer to remove as much play as possible, and tighten the stem clamp. Then you unscrew and "open" this spacer to remove any remaining play and adjust headset preload. The spacer has a locknut on it to keep it tight once you dial in your setting.
