I've been watching Ironman Arizona, too, Mike. A client of mine was doing it; his third Ironman. Just got an e-mail from him a few hours ago and he's as happy as can be. Said he was "more proud of this finish than the first two IM's combined." Hugh's words: "That was without a doubt the absolute hardest thing I have ever done. The winds on the bike were absolutely brutal."

How'd your buddy Peter do?

Peter finished in 15 hours and change. Haven't heard from him yet.

Don't think he'll be at TOSRV this weekend ...

This was that day in the Giro when I let Ron Kiefel
beat me in a critial stage. I owed him a favor.
Or, maybe it was the open house in '05
My memory is shot from all the racing and epo.
