Mayo won, with Tyler in second and the Texas toast, oh, I mean tornado in third. Mayo is maybe a guy to be afraid of.

As I see it Mayo already has a 4.5 minute deficit to Lance in the TdF. His team will lose 2.5 minutes in the TTT and Mayo will lose 2 minutes at least in that last ITT.

Mayo won the prologue last year as well, but by 4-5 seconds. This year, the top three are separated by a fraction of a second. Coincidently, Tex got third on the stage last year. I agree with the above poster that says Mayo is down 4 minutes from the get-go at the Tdf.

He can only lose 2 minutes in the TTT. New, idiotic rules this year cap a team's losses at 2 minutes. Which means that Mayo and the rest of Euskatel can show up on beach cruisers and save themselves for the mountains.

Yeah, and all aimed at keeping a Texan from setting the new mark? My heart says Tyler but my head says Lance.

IF, and I say if, T-Mobile is fit this year, they have a better TT team than USPS. However, the team TT is a ridiculous event and I wish they would get rid of it.

Elefantino - I think that the TTT max time loss is 2.5 minutes, not 2. I still think that Euskatel will go all out to try to get below the 2.5 minute loss. The TTT is long enough before the mountains so taking it easy and accepting the 2.5 minute loss won't help much - and there's no ITT in between.
