I'm doing a build on a nice bit of lugged steel, and am throwing a Phill BB down there, but I can't really find a suitable crankset to match. Does anyone make a fairly high-zoot square taper crankset anymore? Thanks.

For $50 I'll send you my Phil BB and Veloce cranks/Stronglight rings. Good looks, not high zoot but works just the same.

TA Zephyr if you can find one. The replacement TA Carmina is much less attractive.

Obviously this is a question of personal taste, but IMO the Carmina is one of the best looking cranks out there. I'll grant you that the arms look a bit beefier than I would like, but other than that, I find them very sexy.

I've got a couple of 7400's stashed away for my wife, they are indeed nice.

I've also got a 7410/bb somewhere in my stash (which I would be glad to trade for a Record alloy of the same length (177.5))...

I just replaced a Campy Chorus triple with the Stronglite compact crankset. Ya know what, the left (non drive) crankarm is not broached right - it is off center. I can feel the pedal axle describing a circle, as if the pedal is bent. I've A/B'd it several times and there is DEFINITELY a problem with it.

It's an OK low cost crank but I'm using the old Chorus 175 arm on the non-drive side.

I'm running at Stella Azzurra Guizzo and I love it. Not sure if it will match your build, and it really goes best with a blue bike (I think, see My Sled link below). This pick is an Octilink, but they do make square taper.

Only a single chainring, or a triple in mountain variety:
