I'm looking for some fir tubular rims, and found this translated blurb on a web site:

"Allied necessary of many professional teams and champions of the pedal, that recognize of it and they confirm the exceptional dowries of “road man”. It is the result of a specific engineering search on the materials, finalized to reach dynamic performances of high-level without sacrificing elasticity and resistance."

I love it. I have no idea what they are talking about, however. Any other good translations out there? I remember Campagnolo referring to "the blessed 29 cog" some years ago. Something like the Mt. Ascutney hillclimb? Now I understand what they were referring to...

NOS,

I think they are still in wrappers.

If you need 'em - PM me.

Fir is no more!

So I guess this means:

"The only thing to Fir is Fir itself"?

(sorry about that - couldn't resist)

(Fir is pronounced "fear" - we all know that, right?)

I purchased my ST120's from Bulltek Sports a number of years ago, he may still have some if your interested. It seems that the choices of classic Italian tubular rims are getting slim.

As far as the translation goes, yes that was an interesting collection of....well, advertising I must say.

I've got an old pair of FIR tubular wheels hanging up somewhere. Good rims. They had quite a deep 'bed' for the tyre to sit in.
