Not something I would typically do, but there I was at my Mom's, and the induction ceremony was on. Patti's little speech was so sweet, especially when she talked about her husband, that I could have cried. And then she sang "Rock & Roll N1gger" and nearly blasted a hole through the TV.

I was glad my daughter got to see her perform.




p.s. Many years ago, I worked the counter at a drive-thru beer store in Ann Arbor. A shiny Cadillac pulls in, and my manager says, "I'll get this one." He has a long conversation with the guy behind the wheel. Mildly interested, I see a slight woman slumped in the seat next to him.

They drive off, and my manager says, "Know who that was?" Ahh, you know the rest...
