correctly at the National Spelling Bee. Probably the hardest cycling-related word out there, unless you can think of another.

I've got money on Vajpi Rhamadanadnai, Lu Ng, and Brian Silverstein to win, place, and show, respectively.

Had to bet on the Spelling Bee since there aren't any bargains in the Belmont. Like everyone else, I have a feeling Smarty Jones will pull a near-Secretariat in this one.

Probably the word that is misspelled the most is the verb "pedal".

peddle - to sell
pedal - what you do on a bike

"Fourteen-year-old David Tidmarsh of South Bend, Ind., won the National Spelling Bee on Thursday. He defeated 13-year-old Akshay Buddiga, who rallied after becoming lightheaded and collapsing on stage. Tidmarsh won by corrrectly spelling the word "autochthonous" in the 15th round."

Native, indigineous, aboriginal. Of course there are further meanings like: material, particularly within sediments and sedimentary rocks, that has formed or grown in situ and has not been transported, but you knew that already. :)

Baklava - Greek pastry with nuts and honey
Balaklava - headwear that covers ears and neck

NEVER put a baklava on your head.(unless you're into that sort of thing)
