Hello everyone. I am in the process of building up a Scott aluminum bike for a crit bike, and I am trying to find a handlebar that will work for it. Right now, I have crunched the numbers for my contact points on my Serotta and want to duplicate them the best I can. However, I tried to duplicate them on the Scott, and I have to buy some new components.

Here's the thing: I am running a Ritchey WCS Classic bar on my Serotta, which has a reach of 82mm and a drop of 135mm. My search is for a handlebar that has a 26.0 clamp size, 44cm width, and a reach in the range of 100mm and a similar drop (135mm). This way, I can closely duplicate my contact points. I can't run the WCS Classic on the Scott because I am already gonna have to run a 140mm stem, and I still need to make up some mm's in the reach.

Anyone know of any miracle bar?
Thanks.

Pettit

Try a Deda 215 Belgian deep drop, 46mm wide measured outside to outside. Reach = 95mm, drop = 145.

I'm running the Newton (31.7) version of this bar on one bike, it's sweet!

Thanks mosca! That's at least a step in the right direction. I just thought of an idea: read through the QBP catalog and compare reach/drop charts. That may work as well. But for now, my eye is on that 215 Belgian deep drop bar.
