Anyone ever disassemble an Elite fluid unit?

Thinking about swapping bearings but wondering
- if this will require any proprietary tooling
- will something go flying across the room while disassembling, never to be seen again
- resistance fluid will pour out onto my floor

Interesting that you ask. I have an old fluid trainer from Performance that was clearly made by Elite. It has lost some of its resistance (starts out very easy and will gain some resistance as it warms up), so I was thinking of taking the unit apart to see what I could find. It was a perfectly acceptable trainer, and I hate throwing useful things out.
