OT - Coping songs from an iPOD

I have had an iPOD for some time and have always just listened to the songs I put on it at home at work though it. But the other day I decided to copy them over to my work computer. Im sure most of you know, as I found out, that you cant do this directly. My question is what is the best way to copy songs that I put on this ipod at home to my work computer? Any help is appreciated.

I was told, but yet did not try: Both computers must be named the same, both matching the ipod. You have one computer named the same as the ipod, renme the other computer to match if you can.

You might get to it before me, let us know if it works.
