Cateye Lights

I just purchased a Cateye brand light for some earrly am rides. This particular Opticube supplies over 1000 candlepower illumination, however, when I turned it on last night in a darkened room to test, I wasn't too impressed.

Has anyone elsed used these lights with success?

The problem with doing that is you just turned the lights off...

About the only light that impresses me when I do that is my L&M Arc LIon Ultra...
