Hi Gang.
I was going to make a bid on this Seven hybrid frame. (Can't find an Ottrott)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320095803471&rd=1&rd=1
When I asked the seller for the serial number he wrote back:
C0297
From what I know Seven uses a 7 alpha numerical sequence starting with the seat tube measurement. My wife's old Seven was 4702K71. There is another Odanata on Ebay with 5600E82.
I can't call seven untill after the bidding closes. What do you think?
Dan
BTW. So much easier buying and selling stuff here.

Isnt Jeff Weir's old Ottrott still on the market?

Check our classified for a stock 60cm Ottrott. If thats still available, there ya go!

Good luck,

Steve

PS: Ooops, disregard...Its been sold. Another one will come up, just have some patience..(so hard to do).

Dan:

On the surface the auction looks good, I can't see any glaring red flags. Several small things bother me about it though; the buy it now price is quite low, IMO, for well-known carbon/Ti frame and that the seller hasn't had any activity for almost 6 months.

You've been in contact with the seller? Maybe you could contact them again and ask for a phone number and explain your wish to allay your concerns. Or can you get a full name and look them up on the White Pages?

I dunno, if it doesn't feel right, don't do it.
