With these prices, you would think that Mavic would do a reissue of the exact same rim and get in on the action too.

this brings up a question I have-
do you think any current run of gear (stuff one can easlily get today) will be so highly valued in 20 years-
components- not bikes

not really Keith- what you are talking about in this case is a Reflex rim

I rode on SSCs back in the day. I used a 32 hole rim in the back and a 28 up front. I got spare rims but I've never damaged my front wheel so I still have a new 28 hole SSC sitting around collecting dust.

So what makes these "Italian"? Certainly the wording on the bar ends is in English. Pretty funny what people will do to try and get their auction to get hit during a search
And the seller certainly isn't Italian either...

oh man- that poor guy is going to be hating life in no time at all-
Serotta spanked him a few years ago (and they have the right to do it again) for using their trade marked logo-

now Keith is posting the guys home addy- Ben's and some boys are going to come knockingIt's all public information my friend. Took me less than a minute to get the details. Posting your URL in your eBay auction is a double edged sword -- especially if you are doing something illegal.

I hope the guy has already shipped them to me by the time this gets out.... I may just toss em if they are poor quality. I figured they were pirated - the guy also has plugs with Lemond and others so they've gotta be lifted logos.

the guy is scanning the logos and printing them on a home owner grade printer-
they look ok from a distance-
I got mine for $1 after Serotta ordered them to stop selling them the last time
I still have them in a junk drawer somewhere
