from today's cyclingnews.com:

"As for his teammate Tom Boonen, the Belgian is reported to have flown back to Belgium on Monday after abandoning Paris-Nice before the last stage on Sunday. In his home country, he is to consult with a chiropractor for some back pain the sprinter is suffering from since the team changed bikes this season."

So....the horrible Roval wheels went first....the proprietary cranksets were soon to follow....and then the mp Specialized seatposts with the jerk inserts...and then the junky handlebars.....and the stems were disappearing fast.....So now it appears that the frames will be soon to follow

Mr. Boonen has apparently specialized in replacing the bad with the good, I hope he can accomplish the changes in time for his next race. Only Time will tell!

Truth be told he's probably not in Belgium.
He's in dbrk's basement looking for a quality ride.

Wasn't Boonen quoted somewhere as saying how great the Specialized bikes were, and specifically that they just 'worked' right away with no special tweaking??

lol.

Seems the "works right away" check has cleared and now it's time for the rest of the story.

Did the change in bikes also change his position on the bike?

I think attributing the back pain to just changing bikes is unfair...what else changed? Regardless, the cyclingnews quote seems to imply the pain is a result of the bike.

RRRRRRing...Bonjour....Mr. Quillon?...Can you make a carbon frame to look like one of the Specialized Team QuickStep bikes?....Oui?...oh....I know it is shall we say, brutish...but there are 'considerations'....chacun a son gout....Can you have it finished by next saturday...oui?...can you deliver it to the race start in Milan?

With the power he can generate, it better be a strong frame!

I conalgo believe what I am hearing, who cares IF he likes stiff bikes. Seems like a Moot point to me.

I would like to thank all of the little people I stepped on my way to the top. Wait, that speech was for something else.

You like me, you really like me. No that one has been played out already.

i'm bored with these blatant mind tricks

that bike is doing the same as his last one

his quote was taken out of context.

MP? It doesn't sound like a compliment but I am not familiar with that one.
