Hi,
These are starting to show up and are quite a weight savings over standard steel disc rotors. Does anyone have any experience, or advice about them?
Thanks,
Tom

The notubes rotors are nice. I rode a pal's bike with them. But it wasn't an apples to apples comparison because he had hydros and I had mechanicals. I spent more time thinking how much better the hydros felt in general compared to my Avid BB7s. Some say there is a reduction in power and life span with the notubes rotors. Honestly, his brakes felt every bit as strong as mine. For me, the cost difference does not justify the 50g weight savings though.

I have not seen or ridden any ti rotors, so I can't help you there.

There are some lite steel rotors out there...if you follow this thread there's a guy named Nino selling some lite steel rotors http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=254905&highlight=rotor . Personally I've only used what has come with what ever brakes I'm using at the time. At 180 plus pounds I would worry about aluminum worping.
There is also Hope rotors which are susposed to be in the 92-93 gram range.

Here's some shots of the rotors...
