The judge in the Porto Doping scandal case declared that there was no viable case, and today, threw it out. His reasoning was as follows:
At the time the scandal broke last year, the law in force at the time stated that the riders needed to have been harmed by the act of the doping. Since it is apparent that none were harmed, there can be no case.
The law has since been changed. Now, it seems, that any person found guilty of doping or contributing to the doping of another person, can be brought up on charges -- regardless if any athletes are actually harmed.
Now, if we could only get this UCI feud settled.................................. :crap:
