On another thread Pete mentioned Freddie Moon. I thought I would provide a link for people who have not heard of him. He has ridden over 1,000,000 miles on a heavy Schwinn bike.

Yes I have heard of this fellow. It's one thing to document the miles as he has done, but it's another to have the chainrings to prove the mileage as he has done! And he did it on an old steel Schwinn in New Jersey; funny thing, all that rain and snow hasn't rusted that old Schwinn away! Wow the fear some of us have of steel just rusting away in a few short years...is all balony!

By the way, that article on the web site you mentioned was the same article that Parade Magazine had on him about 3 years ago.
