What goes around....
Fizik made the Pave' in brown years ago, when they first started out.

I made a comment about having matching microtex brown tape
they had another arione in the reverse color scheme as well

that's the best seat I've ever seen. Makes me wonder how much extra I'll have to pay for the color-match.

G-san,

That's almost perfect, but my Arione needs to be brown with a black stripe (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showpost.php?p=323346&postcount=81). Add the dark brown Brooks wrap and red ProRace2s, and my silver Axiom will be stylin!

Didn't they also try a cowhide seat a few years back?

I do like the leather tape.

We cross-posted - you know I read every word you write!

That's great news - As soon as I saw that Townsend picture, my eyes went right to that saddle. I guess I'll add it to my shopping list...

I noticed on the Brooks tape the perferations do not begin until about 8 inches into the strip. I recently bought some Fizik tape and they also have a staggered perferation beginning.
Anyone know why they do this? I was thinking of cutting it off before I wrap.
Thanks,
bobscott

I think this "brooks" brown and honey tape shown is actually microtex fizik tape,
just done in the brooks colours, it's not leather....

You most likely noticed the Fizik tape is loooooong. They give you lots,
maybe because it is sometimes wrapped over the Fizik gel strips too.
I trim off the solid piece on the end, just where i want the holes to start
at the bottom of the bar.

edit:
but maybe it's leather... i don't know, now that I found this photo on the
brooks site:

That Townsend is cool. Those wood Brooks bar plugs are cool.

But this is the bar plug of choice of one Mr. JMewkill:

yeah, that's the ticket, but we would have to open two bottles for a handlebar pair.

Oh yeah now I remember...

I have one on my Sachs. It matches up good with the brooks tape but it was a little too much brown for me.
