The Intense Competition of ‘The Cyclysm’ Returns to VERSUS with the Spring Classics Leading Up to the Tour de France

STAMFORD, Conn. (March 6, 2007)—VERSUS, the network that celebrates real competition in all its forms and the home of professional cycling, today announced its weekly Sunday line-up of major cycling races beginning Sunday, March 11 at 5 p.m. ET with the Paris-Nice. Dedicated to the sport’s top races, athletes and teams, VERSUS’ cycling coverage will be hosted by its seasoned team of cycling experts – Phil Liggett, Paul Sherwen and Bob Roll.

“Cycling is a cornerstone of the network’s programming and VERSUS will provide in-depth coverage of the Spring Classics leading up to, and including, the Tour de France,” said Gavin Harvey, President of VERSUS. “It’s a wide open competition among fierce competitors and VERSUS will be there to chronicle all the excitement of these landmark races.”

The network kicked off the cycling season with its coverage of the second annual Amgen Tour of California from February 18-25. Levi Leipheimer (USA) of the Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team and California resident rode to victory and was crowned the 2007 race champion.

As the cycling season gets underway, viewers can turn to VERSUS for race-to-race updates on training efforts and race results as well as coverage of the National Racing Calendar, a U.S.-based cycling series in which the top domestic cyclist is crowned at the end of each season. The race schedule for Cyclysm Sundays follows, (same-day unless indicated; subject to change):

And, with VERSUS on Demand, viewers will have access to race highlight packages shortly after the network premiere.

thanks for the link.

No Giro de Italia, no Vuelta, Only TdF has live coverage. Tour of Georgia ? It must be a small local cornerstone.

Can't take too much from real TV time - you know, turkey hunting, deer hunting, moose hunting, caribou hunting, bear hunting, rabbit hunting, and (of course) - professional bull riding.
