Hey everyone,

I'm doing my old cycling team a favor and dj-ing their race weekend season opener sat and sun. I'm compiling the music now, but it looks like I'm coming up a bit short.

Any suggestions for good music to race to are appreciated. I intend to download it (or I suppose you could email me an mp3 or 2...)

(note: this is way different than "what is your favorite song, band, or album" . . . I love chopin's nocturnes, but wayyy not appropriate)

Thanks -
Dan

P.s. For those in New Jersey, it's at Rutgers University, and it should be pretty cool- non-aero ITT and Crit on Saturday, Circuit Race on Sunday.

Another vote for Rob Zombie. Dragula rules for high-adrenalin activities.

The Ramones get me moving. Anything with Blitzkreig in the title is a winner!

Nobody has said Slayer yet?

I was brazing with Slayer on my iPod last night. It's going to be one angry bike.

If you just behind the leader and you need to get ahead -- This one..

Artist: Kenny Loggins Lyrics -- Top Gun theme song
Song: Danger Zone Lyrics
Revvin' up your engine
Listen to her howlin' roar
Metal under tension
Beggin' you to touch and go

Highway to the Danger Zone
Ride into the Danger Zone

Headin' into twilight
Spreadin' out her wings tonight
She got you jumpin' off the track
And shovin' into overdrive

Highway to the Danger Zone
I'll take you
Right into the Danger Zone

You'll never say hello to you
Until you get it on the red line overload
You'll never know what you can do
Until you get it up as high as you can go

Out along the edges
Always where I burn to be
The further on the edge
The hotter the intensity

Highway to the Danger Zone
Gonna take you
Right into the Danger Zone

Highway to the Danger Zone

one song that just gets me all worked up is Marilyn Manson's "Rock is Dead" off The Matrix soundtrack. Perfect on the start line.

Mayonaise is my favorite but not 'race material.' Ween and Moon Over Marin would be great weirdness at a public sporting event, wouldn't they?
