I didn't even know what 'Oi!' meant 15 years ago (aside from being something people stenciled on black leather).

Interesting bike.

If it reaches $15,000, I will buy it for Kevan. :)

I believe that there have been several threads on this add. It is a scam. The bike belongs to 93Legendti, and I believe it is still for sale by him, but legitimately, of course.

Bidders 2 and 3 have zero feedback. Bidder 1 has between 1 and 9 positive feedback.

I think that the 'bidders' are driving up the price to emphasize that the auction is a scam. Probably new IDs so they can bid 10 large on the bike and get away with it.

I sent the "seller" a question requesting the serial number of the frame. I have set my expectations for a response at Less than Zero • 0% Positive.

Ah, what it was to be young in the UK in the early 80s. Harrington jackets, 20 hole Doc Martens, hair shorter than the attention span of a US President and as much attitude as the disaffected youth of Thatcher's Britain could muster. How did that me turn into the me that hangs around with a bunch of geeks who spend far too much on bikes? ;)

Answers on a postcard....

Or young in the US in the early 80s. In DC. Huge skinhead scene/suedehead scene. Big enough that there were leftist skins. Remember when the color of DM laces "meant" somehting. Usually something you'd rather not know.

I was firmly on the mod side of that divide! After seeing the LP jacket for the Style Counsil's "My Favorite Shop" with wool jerseys and other cycling bits, how could you not be.

So, what did it finally "sell" for?
