If I don't ride it I don't keep it, and I've been looking for a good home for a mid-90s Klein Pulse II 26er, well-used. Passed it on to a carpenter at the company I worked for until Dec 31st. He moved here 10 months ago, has no bike and three kids 4 and under, so not a lot of spare cash, and he was really excited to get it. Feels good to see it go to someone who will use it and like it. Big grin when he came back from the test ride.

Very nice of you. And that's still a very nice bike even though it's not "modern".

Nice work and great story! ( and I just noticed at least one family member looks pissed to see it go:))

She's WAY less fussy than your average Paceliner. I still have 10 bikes she can bark at when I leave for a ride.

I bought it I think in '97 when it was one year old and had been ridden hard - had to do some rebuilding but it was a good deal. It's really amazing how solid the old Shimano XT stuff was. This was 8 speed and I shortly converted it to 9 speed. It all works fine - only the shifters were upgraded with new 9 speed Tiagra.

Very nice of you. And that's still a very nice bike even though it's not "modern".

Yeah, that is a win-win for sure. Well done.
Three kids under 4! I hope he finds some time to ride it:)

Also, love that gate.

It keeps the deer out because the wheel is a 26 and they are all snobs that won't ride anything but a 29er :)

That is an old high end Ringle hub that actually came on that Klein when I bought it. You may be able to discern all the spokes hanging from the broken spoke holes in the flange. Expensive junk.

Also, love that gate.
