Took the time to strip my old Shimano 9 speed stuff off my Hor's yesterday and install a whole new SRAM Rival grouppo in its place, not just a drive train switch out but brakes and all along with cranks etc. I got a good deal on the whole kit and will save my old stuff for a 650 B project I have in mind. I can't wait to get this bike back today from the LBS whom I dropped it off for a tune up once I cabled the bike and hung all the stuff on it. What can I say, I left the last details up to them. I did notice that re-using my stem and bars that my reach will be about 1 cm longer to the bumps on the brifters so I may need to shorten the stem. Dam SRAM and Shimano with their longer brifters. I do like the way the SRAM stuff feels to the grip of my hands which are smallish relative to my Ultega 10 speed grouppo hung on my Uniscasi.
My Uniscasi being a travel bike will keep Shimano stuff hung on it as its right now easier to travel and get spare Shimano parts then SRAM replacement parts. Anybody else make a conversion to SRAM. My wife's new CDA has the Rival grouppo installed and its still waiting on a Alchemy wheelset to arrive very soon.

:) , you need to stretch out more. And it only matters on the hoods. Drops is where it's at. But if you still don't like it by say, mid summer, then get a new stem.

Are you doing your stretches and core exercises?

I haven't seen much reaction to the Force brake recall, I wonder if people
even know about it. First Sram said it was only front brakes, but it's been
expanded to include some rear brakes too. Not the most auspicious entry
into the road market....

I have about 700 miles on the newer CAMPY and really enjoy it, as well as the looks of the brakes and crank.

Have not been able to quantify the QS of new front der and lever.

Will have to try SMILEY's SRAM when I get up there (not till warm weather though)/

Smiley, you picked the wrong week (last) to be down on business...it is suppose to be a high of 60 most days this week. Come on back.....
