And I'm going there to meet Dave Kirk, Dario Pegoretti, Richard Sachs and Obtuse!

Oh yeah, and an un-named bike painter who resides in San Diego. He is not in the show, he's just going to hang out.

DWF ephemera?

I've taken a page from Stephen Colbert's book (apologies Stephen) and have started my own kit for those of you who just can't get enough of me. I give you: Don Ferris' Forumula 401.5, but you'd better act fast!

The demand for DWF's Formula 401.5 has been overwhelming, and I have to admit I am pooped. I had to make an unscheduled trip to Chinatown, and considering the amount of money I spent on rhino horn and tiger bone, I’m just about breaking even here. So… sorry, but after the Handmade Show, but I’m cutting you folks off. I’ve decided to make DWF's Formula 401.5 a seasonal product. Like Mallomars.

bananas.

David Kirk... looking forward to meeting you.

To all the other non-exhibitors, I don't know you from Adam, but it would be nice to make acquantainces while walking around. Should we wear Serotta forum name tags?

Anvil Bikeworks will be there with all the lovely framebuilding tidbits we offer. We'll also have a nice couch to rest your weary bones on, plenty of *good* beer and if we can keep it on the downlow, a few bottles of Stranahan's Whiskey for taste testing.

We aren't coming this year. I am very conflicted about this. I spent a lot of time on the phone with Don Walker and I do want to support him and what he is doing with the NAHBS. We just could not justify showing in the same part of the country two years running. The costs weren't too bad, but those costs in addition to the time required to get everything ready and out to the west coast along with time lost in the shop was just killer. Last year, I figure that for a three day show, we lost about two and a half weeks of work out of the shop. The show itself was GREAT and I encourage everyone who can go to go. You will be blown away with the skills and artistry on display. With very few exceptions, you will find those amazingly skilled folks to be just the kind of folks that you would want to sit down with some afternoon and talk bikes, coffee and beer with. There isn't a better crowd.

Go, Go, Go!
I don't care why, I don't care how!
Just go, go, go,
Get those tickets, NOW!

We do plan on showing again next year as long as the show moves to a different area of the country. Have lots of fun and give hugs all around for me.
