These are the little items that Ritchey is now selling to be used with their stems. They are supposed to allow you 5NM of torque, and no more.

I have spoken to Ritchey and they say that the key should click when it gets to 5nm, just like a click-type torque wrench. The one I have doesn't. It allows me to get to a point and then, no matter how much I try, won't allow me to turn the bolt anymore - there is no audible or tactile click. I guess it is doing its job and stopping me at 5nm, but I wanted to be sure that it's working properly, since I am certainly not getting the "click" that I was expecting.

Thanks.

I don't own one but the fitter I saw at Christmas time had one and used it on my bike. Seemed to work great and much more compact than a beam style torque wrench.

I think it's a good move on their part, it will help keep the hamfisters inline.
