Headset bearing question

Hi, I have a Serotta Atlanta project bike -my first and have a ? on the headset bearings. They need replacement but I don't see any numbers on them. This is a 1" hs. On one of the pieces it says VIA HP-6500 BC 1. Can anyone tell me what kind of bearings I need to purchase. These are sealed bearings. TIA.

That is an ultegra headset if I'm not mistaken and takes a common bearing / retainer. You can replace with new loose bearings and just not use the retainer. Count the bearings and add one more to make up for the retainer.

You'd have to go back one more generation from 6500 series Ultegra to find a bearing like that.

6500 are sealed cartridges and you can probably find them at a bearing supply store if you take one in for them to take measurements on.
