Just throwing this out there as I was shocked by how this all played out....
I sold an item on eBay and somehow USPS lost it (first time ever in my experience). Tracking was updated as delivered, but the buyer said it never came, check the neighbors etc. They opened a claim with eBay and I uploaded the tracking info. Long story short, the package was not insured but eBay refunded the buyer's money at no impact to me. Very impressed with the customer service on both sides of the equation and it does encourage me to continue selling on eBay despite the fees....
