There are a few rides depending on how hard & far you want to ride (and how early).
It looks like a few of us are going to get together that weekend for a ride, etc. (see this thread) (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=25029)

I used to ride with a club in Benicia. Last year, a group of them rode up pig farm road near Martinez to watch Stage 3 (I think it was 3).

I'm not sure of the TOC routes this year but you might contact one the club members via their web page to learn about their plans. They're a great group of folks to ride with. http://www.gbvilla.cnc.net/index.htm

I ride with two groups: "Les Volantes" out of City Cycle and my team: "La Dolce Vita"

It sounds like there may be a few people coming into town & interested in riding. The "Les Volantes" blokes are nice, flexible and ride at mutiple levels. Saturdays are usually the more competitive days, and involve 60-80 miles at a good pace, several skilled non-racers, a handfull of cat 4-5 riders, one or two cat 3 and a few hanging on for dear life. This time of year, however, the numbers are low and we are frequently happy to ride with whomever comes out. I will not be at the top of my form, because I will have just gotten back on the bike after an injury.

On Sundays Les Volantes is a more sedate 40 mile ride designed as recovery ride and development for those not ready for Sat.
On Sat Les Volantes leaves Union & Steiner in SF at 9am
On Sunday we leave at 9:30 am (to give time for everyone to have waffles, biscuits, bacon, sausage, homefries and coffee with the significant other).

There are other rides I know less about, including one, more hard core, that leaves the GG bridge at about 8am (some one else will have to give that info tho)

I suggest, if we have enough interest, that we meet at City Cycle (http://www.citycycle.com/) (Union X Steiner in SF) before 9am for the Les Volantes ride and ride Alpine Dam (60 miles, hilly, & my favorite ride in SF).
