Anyone have a good source for quality cycling jerseys and shorts for under $60? My stuff is wearing out.

The DHB Aeron stuff from Wiggle/ChainReaction has been pretty great for me. They seem to be on sale fairly regularly at around $60 for the bibs.

This was going to be my suggestion as well. I just got a pair of the Black Bibs Ultimate ($87 shipped) and they are pretty nice overall. Thick and dense pad, soft feel to the material and not as compressive as some other brands. I would definitely buy them again.

Voler.com
These are my fav right now. I have the Black Label bibs ($160) and would buy these again too. :) Very nice pad, just the right compression IMO.

I've gotten a bunch of Oakley stuff this summer, it's been great via their site, Amazon, BTD and Merlin. $150 LP jerseys and bibs for $45-90.

Have you had good luck with any specific brands on Amazon?

I 2nd TBB....I was skeptical and ordered a pair. $40/pair....hard to beat. I opted for the "plus" model for $65 that includes a wider gripper on the leg. Not sure it's necessary, but YMMV. I'll definitely buy more from them.

I forgot to also add Spexcel for cheap jerseys on AliExpress. They’re very “inspired” by Rapha jerseys but without any branding and are really great for the money

Inexpensive jerseys and shorts aren’t worth it.

Seems to be lots of fans of The Black Bibs bibs. How about their jerseys?

Concur - better to wait for sales on nicer stuff that will last longer.

I have a few pairs of the unpadded wool shorts. Will be ordering the knickers and a jersey soon. There's a sale 15% off sale on the jerseys until the end of the month.

I bought some voler stuff when they went on sale last year and am pretty happy. Sportful is also pretty good for the price.

Velocio.

Just kidding.

Although I did get a bunch of their stuff at 50% off and it is by far the best stuff I've worn

I bought it years ago (mid 90's) when it was all I could find and I thought wool was the only way. We used to buy it a size bigger and shrink to fit like levis. I'd personally never buy it again as I prefer my wool these days to be a blend for various reasons. Durability and fit are two of them. Moths always seemed to find the Kucharik stuff but I still wore it.

I'm now reformed and wear mainly synthetic cycling clothing. It's just too wet here for my taste and I don't have any interest in wool in the summer months. Living in Colorado it might suit you better. I always like the long sleeve jerseys the best.

Do you develop your own film and roast your own coffee too?

Just kidding. I can't imagine straight wool Kuchariks sans chamois.

+3.

I have three pairs of their bibs now; the standard $40 one, the Plus model, and the Ultimate model. They are all very comfortable, though I am not sure I felt any difference going to the Ultimate. As an added bonus for me, they offer the Plus and Ultimate models in a short inseam version which I much prefer (I hate bibs that come right down to my kneecap).

We will see how long they last, but I haven't had great luck with durability from other brands either (Rapha, Castelli, Giordana).

Wife got me sportful bibs. better than my Pearl shorts and inexpensive but not cheaply made.

:butt: :p

I came to cycling with touring goals so I'm a little old-fashioned with wool shorts and birks for summer overnighters. I do shoot with film sims on a digital fuji and pack a camping pourover setup :p

I've found pads to compress the nether nerves. Sometimes I'll wear thin cycling liner shorts for all day rides.

If you call Kucharik, you may be able to get a better deal than online.
