Cool story!

I feel like it would also have been fitting had the frame been auctioned off with proceeds donated to SAMHSA, to provide naloxone, or to a local org doing things with recovery.

It's possible that Colnago is of a vintage when bikes using sidepull brakes were built for normal reach vs. short reach. Those are nutted brakes, which also leads me to believe that is the case.

The change to short reach brakes happened sometime in the mid-70's.
