Trying to rule out some noises on my bike so I figure checking the
chainring bolts is part of that.
I have an FSA Carbon crank and unsure what to set my torque to for tightening.
Any help?
Thanks Robert

You need to find it from the instruction manual but its probably around 8nm

While it doesn't have a specific listing for FSA chainring bolts, this page has manufacturers torque specs. for a number of components including chainring bolts:

Also maybe depends on cranks. My crank had their propietary 4 bolt system, I think it was called ABS and from what I remember was either 8 or 10nm. I think torx 25 bolts.

It depends on the brand and the type of chainring bolt material and even which chainrings they are.
FSA Alloy bolts, they are 120kgf.cm / 12Nm / 106 in. lb.
These numbers are from FSA.

The manual is long long gone. This puppy is Octalink old. I saw the link earlier and did not find the answer so I am going with 8Nm. In the end my effort is to re-tighten if needed.
Of course if it was done at say 6-7Nm when installed then I am over doing it but it sounds close enough.

Maybe I will try to find the instructions online.

Here's the link to the FSA install guide that lists 12Nm. for the torque.

Asked and answered.make sure you lube them along with places on the crank arm where the CR touched the spider.
